Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Does anyone know of an apartment available in the Annecy ski area for a short break at Easter - 3 nights (2nd April to 4th inclusive)? Must be suitable for 2 adults and 2 children and near gondola or lifts etc
Thanks!

Maybe Annecy Le Semnox?

Or maybe http://www.lakeannecy-skiresorts.com/ (which is the Massif des Aravis)?

We are planning to ski for 3 days as part of a Easter holiday - La Clusaz area looks OK - anyone know or be able to recommend any nice apartments that we can rent for 3 nights or is it practical to stay in Annecy and travel up each day?

La Clusaz is a great little resort. Perfect for a 3 dayer. Can't help with apartments though.

Staying in Annecy and driving up to Clusaz or Bornand each day is something I do quite a lot. Traffic through Thones can be a BITCH, as can the parking when you arrive in resort. Early starts required. On the road at 7:45 sharp. 8:00 at the latest.

Although this 'area' has been branded as the Lake Annecy Ski Resorts, they're not actually very near Lake Annecy (unlike Le Semnoz, which is right next door to Annecy). They're also not very well linked. e.g. La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand are linked by bus.

I think there's a combined bus ticket/lift pass thing where you can commute up from the centre of Annecy. Never used it though.

Also, Le Grand Bornand is a bit rubbish. Stick with Clusaz.

I've never skied at Semnoz. It doesn't look all that great really. Apart from green runs, there are only 9 pistes. All short. Very low.

It doesn't really matter - because the station will shut 1 April. At that point in the season your best bet will be to check up to date snow and piste opening reports, and only then decide where to go. Some resorts, and parts of resorts, hold their snow much better than others.
