Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm heading off to the Ski Welt for a week of skiing next week, and I have to admit that I'm really looking forward to it. I've skied an awful lot over the last few seasons, but this will be my first proper ski holiday for about four years, so I'm really looking forward to a fun week on the snow.

I'm heading over on my own, so was just wondering if there are any snowHeads who will be in the area next week and would be interested in meeting up for a bit of skiing?

holidayloverxx, I shall be based in Ellmau (but as a first lifter sort of person, could meet up by early morning in most of the area). I won't have a car.

I'm now at the airport, and looking forward to my first bit of skiing without a timetable for far too long! I think my hotel's got Wi-Fi, so I'll keep checking this page in the hope that someone spots it and is around for a bit of free-skiing and maybe a drink or two. Hermes House Band fans given priority... Wink

Snow's looking good (according to the reports, at any rate). I always find it strange that the Ski Welt, claiming to be the largest ski area in Austria, seems to be a bit of a backwater for snowHeads - no snow reports (ever, it seems) and almost no reviews (or even threads relating to the area). Whilst I hope there's not a terrible reason for this, any snow, and any skiing will be good for me I reckon.
