Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Icebreaker RealFleece 260: Any good?

It's not cheap but, I assume, like their other stuff it's pretty good. Anyone here with first hand experience?

I'd like some feedback about RealFleece too.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

FlyingStantoni, thanks.

The Icebreaker website says it has got an interior zipper guard. The zipper on my current North Face fleece grabs at my neck/chin stubble and tries to rip the hairs out all the time. Would this zipper guard thingy on yours prevent that from happening?

Is it warm?

Is it comfortable?

What chest/waist size are you (if that isn't too personal), what size did you buy and how well does it fit you? E.g. a tight fit or a bit of slack in certain areas.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Walter-Spitty...

No annoying zipper rub. (I hate it when people wreck a perfectly good top with a crappily designed zip!)

Medium. 40/42" chest. Fit is comfortably snug without being too tight. It doesn't annoyingly ride up like the top it replaced. MrsFS used the term "slimming" - which I took to be encouraging wink

Tough question to answer on "is it warm" as I've worn it three times and it was effing freezing all three days (-22 in the car park one morning) and I was much more layered up than normal. I'm skiing this weekend and can confirm after that.

Which weight do you have...I believe they come in a 260 or 320 weight?
Do you have jacket or half zip? Any prefs on colours?
I also need a medium (chest) but I am tall (6'2"); what about length?
Unfortunately I can't try one on in the shop need to buy online...any idea where to buy them cheap?

FlyingStantoni, many thanks. I agree with you about crappily designed zips - I just don't understand why some brands are so useless at it. It's not as if it takes much brainpower or foresight to realise what is going to happen to people with a bit of stubble or a beard.

I usually don't buy products that are manufactured in China (because the rulers are scumbags and I hate them) but I might be persuaded on this occasion.

Snowman, there is comprehensive sizing information for the medium size on the following web page:
