Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

And at 8.00pm Henry from HAT is on too ........... well worth watching

Henry will be on British TV tomorrow night Thursday 2nd February at 8pm on Channel 5.

The programme is called "World's scariest near misses" and features some pretty extreme action.
Watch it live on Channel 5
Watch it online afterwards click here for Channel 5 OD<http>

Henry will be commenting on videos of some very close call with avalanches that a number of skiers and snowboarders experienced.. and were caught on film. Henry will be talking about the HAT approach to managing risks in the mountains in wintertime: how people want to have fun and experience the thrill of fresh snow, but there are risks involved that need to be understood before hand and managed on site.

Having watched a bit of it....I'm praying you cant! As you live in a country that can deal with a bit of snow, you would have squirmed at the antics of this pair of numpties rolling eyes
Hamish McDickwit sets off up a narrow montain road,in a gritter, runs into a snow drift, and gets stuck.Waits till daylight so his mate can come and help him dig it out.Survival gear, balaclava and a council jacket!A perfect example of why yer average Brit is useless with snow rolling eyes

Have they not heard of chains? Or is the local council so impoverished they cant afford them Puzzled

snowskisnow, yep, truly embarrassing!

I'm no fan of the 'elf n safety culture but they were just asking for trouble, a fatal accident is inevitable, its a matter of when not if.

Not only no chains (albeit the tarmac was so bad they would have ripped it to shreds) but those were not even winter tyres, no wonder he got stuck Shocked

Totally, TOTALLY, TOTALLY agree. Trying to clear a pass such as that with what is basically a lorry with a shovel on the front is insane. Clearly the Scots have never seen a PROPER snowplough.

I caught some of this while channel surfing - about a bloke in the midlands having the RAC come and fix his van (oh I forgot to mention it was dark) . I think I fell asleep after that.
