Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Follow on from the Ski Sunday rants. Proof, if it were needed that BBC really doesn't give 2 hoots for winter sports, take a look at the winter sports section of the BBC sport web site: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/winter_sports/default.stm
They still have Turin 2006 FFS, but no mention of Vancouver 2010 Puzzled
As for X Games 2012, apart from a wee bit about Zoe Gillings (well done, hard luck lass), there's nothing.
No mention of Shaun White's awesome 5th Gold in Super Pipe and his 100 point score

Some great stuff on youtube, check out the paraXgamers,

After the popularity of ski-cross at Vancouver 2010, I was hoping to see a bit more of it on Ski Sunday instead of concentrating on the mens World Cup most of the time.

Yes but the darts coverage, slo-mo drinking, got to be worth the licence fee snowHead

BBC sports website is a Be Nice please! mess anyway...why does the BBC spend so much money on some CSS5 designers wetdream..

anyway Ski cross is pretty dull to watch...tuned into the Redbull huttenrallye att he weekend and FF'd through the lot as it was exceptionally tedious.

Saw that link to Turin'06 myself the other day and had to laugh. Beeb got it's fingers burnt with High Altitude - they plowed a shedload of cash into it and not very many people watched (yes WE all did, but thats not very many people in the scale of things...) When you think that viewing figures are taken from a sample size of only about 5100 households out of 26m in the uk, niche snow-shows don't get much of a look-in.

Maybe if they moved Clarkeson, Hamster and Captain Slow in as presenters, they'd get better viewing figures wink wink

Slightly off-topic but I have to say that clip of mono-X skiers is AWESOME - and I don't mean in the way that word is usually used these days. I mean it is truly awe-inspiring. I'm not surprised the winner was a bit emotional at the end - I feel a bit that way and I've only watched a video Embarassed

Ski Sunday isn't exactly up to date with their news section either - not even a mention of Sarah Burke

Totally off topic with you Red Leon. I randomly caught the paraskiercross at the Xgames when channel surfing and it's probably the most amazing winter sport race I've ever seen. Those guys were just great.

I'm not at all sure what your point is?

I hadn't actually noticed that it wasn't under "Winter sports", but I don't see the relevance of where it is, so long as it can be found reasonably easily.
