Was in the pub last night with some other skiers and we were discussing forthcoming holidays. Times till departure range from 1 week to 9 weeks (me). I was bemused to find that I was the only one watching webcams and snow reports. One friend doesn't even know what the conditions are like and she's off next Sat. How can this be? Is it them or is it me?
I can't seem to stop, I look at the webcam for where we're going at least 4 times a day & sometimes hourly if it's snowing or forecast to. I look at the webcam for where we were at Christmas, I look at the webcam for where our friends are going and on occasion I do a round of the webcams of places we've been in the past.
I think I have a problem.
How do I wean myself off this habit? I've even been known to look at the webcams in the summer this is getting serious I think I might need professional help.

I am not trying to make you feel better. But you are certainly not the only one.
I don't suppose that you also watch ski videos on YouTube?

These symptoms sound very similar to mine, I've even found myself compiling a playlist on my ipod of songs that feature in snowboarding movies

lol - and I thought it was just me and my OH - we are constantly checking the webcam to see how much snow has fallen, how busy the slopes are etc - and yes the ski vids on youtube too!! I even have a pic of myself from a webcam still that my friend saved one year!

You're not alone, I know the snow depths and piste status at more resorts than I've ever been to!

I have got webcamitis too,due to the excellent site,webcamgalore.com........
check at least twice a day and loads of places I am not going to !!! SAD.

snowlamb, can't really count the times per day, since I keep the webcams-page of my destination's site constantly open in a tab and keep reloading it. 
I'd be more worried about the people who can't be bothered to check the conditions... Do they even want to go?
