Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Is there anything more difficult?

I've done something similar but it didn't involve me standing up after the turn Embarassed Doing some beautiful carved turns last season when the skis went out from under me and I ended up on my side, mainly because I didn't see the piste machine tracks till too late Shocked Embarassed

I done something like that, but it was performed on a very poor red in Serre Che, and it was all I could do to stop myself from falling over after each turn! Also, I definitely wasn't carving like that wink

Yes I have had a lie down on the slope. But why is there snow billowing behind the resting skier?

Yes, but not quite that far over.

That inside ski could do some damage (with sharp edge) being that far up your leg rolling eyes

No, but after getting some grief about continually going on at us all week to get the skis flat on the snow rather than carving, our instructor (Yann Westerkamp) in Flaine did, on Intuitiv 74s - and finished standing up, after about a 300 degree turn right by some very bemused punters (I believe they were friends/clients of his rather than random dweebs - in case anyone is worried about the ethics of that).

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

On snowboards, but still very impressive. These guys link carves lying down all the way down the mountain.
The files are fairly large, so just check out the preview. Here's a photo of the kind of turns they link:
