Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

One of the all time great racers, here's hoping he goes out on a high with another crystal globe!

Not surprised, he seems to have lost a bit this season but no shame in that. Certainly, one of the greats in terms of results and style. I'll miss him.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Better to plan for retirement, than have it forced on you.

Good luck to him, and hope we see the ski flip again soon!

Not sure he's lost much. He's been 1st and 2nd in training on the Streif this week and so looks like he's coming back to form.

He is a legend. If he wins the Downhill this year at Kitz it will be his 5th. No man has ever won it 5 times.
TJ had breakfast with him one morning in the athletes restaurant. Just a great guy too.
Good luck to him> I'm hoping to see his skis flip tomorrow if the weather gods are kind.

Agree Plugboy, he is a legend already. Style, power, technique... he has it all.

Maybe he's going to join the FWT. That would be cool. If only...

Daughter met him at LL this year and got a helmet signature (next to TJ's Little Angel )

He was way smaller than I expected. I expected this huge guy.

Not particularly surprised - having watched the previous weekend's DH in Wengen. When he'd completed his run, he very definitely seemed to be having a nostalgic look around at the crowd, the finish area and the run into the finish. At the time, I thought he was taking it all in and saying farewell.

As gryphea suggests. He always looked like a giant on the mountain, and smaller in real life than one expects. Good luck to him for the rest of the season - hope he manages to go out at the very top.
