Poster: A snowHead
|
I am looking at the possibility of going away for another week or long weekend in maybe march or early april on my own(the wife cannot get the time off) . I have not ruled out joining a group but would like to look at single traveller options. Except UPCA does anyone have any suggestions for single travellers?
I have been to Tignes this year would prefer somewhere different but I am not too bothered where.

Try Mountainsun - their dolomites hotels Frohsinn and Diamant both have no single supplements. Have a look at this thread for reviews.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi roscoeh,
We have some single rooms in our Chalet Campanules, Paradiski, and we never make a supplement for these.
We've got availability for the end of March and into April - there is a full chart of prices and availability on our website but most of those weeks are £449 catered not including flights. Shared transfers are £75pp return.
Happy planning!

Rosco, I think. Most UCPA holidays are booked up. A big vote for Snow and Sunshine's chalet, very good and fantastic service. Also, pretty much skin in and out and easy access to the whole Paradiski area.

Have you got anything for the end of March beginning of April?

From personal experience I think you are better to look for hotel accommodation rather than chalet. Other than Chalet Campanules mentioned above it is fairly rare to find single rooms in chalets and less rare in hotels. You will normally get charged a small supplement even for a single room (yes I have never understood this either, it's just blatant single-bashing) and almost always get charged a fairly hefty supplement for sole use of a twin or double room.
Good luck!

Try YSE Ski in Val D'Isere or Ski Val - both have some chalets with single rooms with no supplement. You will want to start skiing high at that time of the season.... or maybe even stretch it to the end of April and join us on the EoSB?

Hi alikat077,
We have availability from 18th - 25th March if that is any use? It is a mixed week with a few small groups plus another solo skiier booked in. £449 for the week, no single supplement, fully catered but not including flights and transfers.
Full details via the link in my tag line . . .

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.
