I posted a similar question a bout 12 months ago and the resounding response was "Steep and I can say that I wasn't disappointed.
Most of the Teton Gravity Research stuff is pretty good as well.
Otherwise you'll just go on seeing the one name:

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Loved some of the above mentioned films.
The concept behind CLAIM is great. I think that carried over to some of the rules in GNAR like the pro call out etc. Epic to see people claiming the sh*t out of big lines and drops and the super upbeat vibe it produces in the crew and all over the mountain. Love the positive energy!
I loved it because it has some amazing filming, with creative angles and interesting camera shots that I hadn't seen before. Most of the skiing is bigger lines in the backcountry and smooth styles.
I am constantly disappointed by a lot of new films which all seem to consist of far too much 'flippy spinny poo-poo' and get very repetitive with no story line. Films with a story are far more interesting, like J Jones and his exploits in Deeper, Further, Higher and his excursions into Antarctica with Xavier, or Ian Macintosh exploring new lines and mountains in Canada and Alaska.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You seem to have a stutter.
Steep, I was disappointed on a lot of fronts.
First of all the damn DVD was copy protected so wouldn't play in my computer or portable DVD player. The copy protection basically made it incompatible with the DVD standard by writing bogus tracks onto the disk.
It would play in my main DVD player but then it turned out was freakin' region encoded for the USA.
So after rooting my DVD player I found that the film was pretty boring really with people wittering on about their steep skiing like it was religion or something. Like who freakin' cares guys, get a life, jeez, will you.
Swift Silent Deep! .... Its more Documentary than ski film, but is very interesting, does have some cracking shots...and gets you stoked!

An actual film film as supposed to Ski documentary - "Frozen" - Dodgy unknown actors who get stuck on a ski lift over the weekend as the resort shuts down. Not bad film considering all filmed on a chair lift....just dont be the lad to go up a chair lift at night!!
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Did anyone else find 'The Art of Flight' a bit of a bore?
As an HD filiming technical exercise it was magnificent, but overall it left me a little flat.
