Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

alicia, according to OEBB.AT it takes between 3 and 4 hours, with various changes depending on the time of day, maybe 1 change at Salzburg, or several on different routes. try here in english http://fahrplan.oebb.at/bin/query.exe/en?&HWAI=JS

that's from Munich Bahnhof, not the airport

alicia, whatever train you take, you will have to start by catching the S-Bahn from the airport to the Ostbahnhof or Hauptbahnhof. The S-Bahn access at the airport is directly below the Arrivals and could not be easier to get to, including lifts from the lower level to the platforms.

Make sure you get on an S8 if possible as this goes directly to the Ost- then Hauptbahnhof. The S1 goes right around the houses to get to the Haupt- then Ostbahnhof.

The quickest and easiest route with the fewest changes is to travel via Salzburg. There are any number of trains per day from Munich to Salzburg, some very, very slow and others very fast stopping only at a couple of stations. If you get on a fast one, make sure you have paid the supplement! It cost me an extra 18 Euro the last time I got it wrong Embarassed

I'm assuming you mean Munich Airport? If so one of the easiest ways is Airport to Ost, change, Ost-Worgl, change, Worgl-Zell am See. Total trip 3:15

farlep99, current timetables show none of the journeys taking less than 4.20 hours. The simplest route with the least number of changes of trains currently is via the Salzburg route.
