Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

There's a lot of new stuff in at Snow and Rock - don't recall the makes that attracted my attention as I was window shopping only - just remember seeing some nice styles. Tog24 have some good bargains too.... with matching fleeces etc......

What budget are you working to Peter Leuzzi?

Well at least that foul green has taken a nose dive this year. Peter Leuzzi, IIRC there was a lot of purple in evidence for the women at the ski shows in the Autumn.

For the men it was big square blocks of primary colours, mixed up on the same item of clothing - I think I recall liking the Scott range. I think if you go to the Metro ski show website that they might still have the video of the ski fashion show on the pages. It might be useful to you.

Eider. Never seems to fail. Good quality, good price, good cut, good colours.

I've got an Eider jacket which I love and only ever wear for skiing. It's lightweight and simple (I can't be doing with a million different pockets and flaps and poppers, buttons, zips and velcro bits) but it wasn't cheap (about £250 several years ago). I have just purchased a more lurid Nevica coat for £55 from Sports Direct which looks ok (if bright colours are your thing) and has plenty of pockets, furry lining and stuff. With ski jackets, like any other clothing, check the price tag and try it on. Some jackets make me look like a squishy sugar bowl and some jackets make me look curvy and ladylike. I discovered even though I like the looser snowboarder look, that look does not like me and I look even more stumpy and wide than usual.

Depends whether she is into the fashion statement or good technical clothing. My wife likes Arcteryx, as do I. For women, they come in nice colors and cut, but definitely have a more athletic look.
