Thanks. But it looks like they only let you ski on the afternoon slush though! At least on the European glaciers you're allowed to share some space with the national teams etc....

PG, Mt. Hood is the typical summer ski camp location, and there are a few others, as well. Of course, Alaska is in the US, but I assume that's not what you mean! 
A Basin is usually open until 4 July, but I don't think that will happen this year. You might check the ski camps out...

ssh, Isn't it a bit flat (Alaska?). Any alpine race clubs there? Les Arcs is still looking to link up either with a southern hemisphere (eg NZ) club, but who knows Alaska could be a possibility.

The name "Timberline" seems to ring a bell for American summer ski=ing...it appears to be in Oregon.

PG, btw, you're not "sharing the afternoon slush," you're avoiding the morning concrete! And, if you're at a camp, they'll let you up first chair at about 8 or 9am. I stayed at Timberline Lodge at Mt. Hood one summer with my lovely bride and woke to the homey sound of alpine ski boots clomping across ice on the way to the chair.

PG, if you're bringing a team (or even just some members), contact the area ahead of time. They will often let you go up in the morning. They just want to keep the less-skilled off the slopes at that time so that they don't end up killing themselves or others when they fall and can't do a self-arrest on the rock-hard piste.
