Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi,

For those who are interested, here is the link to the french motorway traffic predictions for 2012.

Interestingly, this year the week before Easter is not marked as busy. It looks like there are no French school holidays that week this year. Hope that means quiet pistes.

Good find ringingmaster - and in English too!

I'm sometimes impressed at the attention to detail by parts of the French government. Makes me wonder sometimes why I'm living in Britain.

Still, things look good for our first driving trip to the Alps - the week running up to Easter in the Maurienne valley.

I've driven down to Les Deux Alpes at the start of the school Easter holiday (31st March this year) for the last 4 years and traffic has never been a problem. I normally stay 10 days and driving back mid week is even quieter.
