any suggestions - ive decided time to retire the salomon evolution 8.0 - skied about 10 weeks in them over last 7 years or so - good intermediate skier - male - 5'10 - 144lbs - like to ski aggresivly wamt to improve my technique

right, boots, layne - a bit battered and worn now - a couple of the stiffness sliders have broken and liner slightly ripped at top. i also did have some pins and needles last year - but putting that down to age more than anything!
figured technology might have moved on in last 10 years and might be a good time to buy with sales on.

prbrown, technology has indeed moved on a great deal in those 10 years in terms of plastics and boot shapes, there are no bad boots out there, just ones that don't fit your feet well, best thing is to go and see a fitter and have your feet looked at with regard to what will work best, also worth remembering that they are only a bargain if they really fit you well

Try the Mission Rs 8 or 12s from solly. They have wide lasts but fairly narrow heel space.

thanks all - any ideas how much im going to spend sounds expensive getting boots fitted (2/3/4 hours?)these days - plus molded insoles etc - there's a recession on you know!
