If terms of getting home, to Kirchberg , what time do the buses finish at

Most places should be relatively quiet at the end of January, apart possibly from weekends (presuming you're not there at the time of the Hahnenkamm race, 20th-22nd Jan).
In the Kirchberg area I like the runs down from the Ehrenbachhöhe by the Maierl lifts, piste 26.
In Westendorf the circuit using the Choralpe gondola and piste 111 is very enjoyable.
From the middle station of the Harschbichl gondola in St. Johann piste 2a is a less frequented way of getting back to the bottom, though the main piste, 1c/1d, is fine too.
A bit further from Kirchberg, Fieberbrunn also offers pleasant runs, on the Doischberg (Piste 8 ), Streuböden (piste 2), Lärchfilz (pistes 7 + 9) and Reckmoos Nord (piste 10).
You can find details of bus services here. Note that you can also take the train between Kitzbühel and Kirchberg (and they seem to run later). And, of course, taxis.
