Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Quick Altibus ticket delivery question

Just booked tickets, apparently they're sending the tickets to me. Anyone know/have previous experience of how long they usually take to arrive?

Cheers in advance.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

A couple of years ago I did too, the tickets arrived after I'd gone. Worth printing out the receipt or your order reference number or similar from the website... just in case

I ended up going by car eventually (for reasons not related to the bus in any way), so not sure what needs to be done if you don't have the actual tickets on you.

Might drop them an email then. I didn't really think about it because I can't even remember the last time I had to have actual tickets delivered to me for travel.

How long before you went did you order them?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Can't remember now, sorry... but seem to remember that the website said the tickects would be dispatched one week prior to date of travel? Which prob explains the delay.

On their website it seems to imply they should have sent me the tickets as a pdf (which they haven't done) but when I was placing the order they seemed to be implying they would be posted. Poor translation somewhere I think.

Quote:

In the case of an order placed via the Altibus Internet site, the user shall receive on completion of the placing of his/her order, an electronic message accompanied by a *pdf format ticket, according to the conditions laid down in article 6 of the presents General Conditions of Sale. In the event of any irregularity of reception by e-mail of the self-printable ticket, the user shall contact the Altibus Call Centre before departure.

Well I haven't got them by email yet and it says it should be within a few hours so it's on the phone to them at lunch in any case... Joys.

Alarmingly quick response to my email which is very good. But:

Dear Mr Morrison,
The tickets will not be sent by post, you just need to print the mail you recevied, and give it at the airport in exchange of your tickets at the ticket desk Transneige.

So that's a third method of getting the tickets, differing from the T's&C's on their website and what they said at booking. And they neglected to tell me about it until I asked... I hate dealing with Frenchies.
