Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Transfer from Grenoble Airport to Bourg D'Oisans

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a direct transfer from Grenoble airport to Bourg D'Oisans without having to go into Grenoble itself? Seems a bit of an back bottom. Hire car seems a bit extreme.

It wasn't possible with the public bus service when I used it. Looking at the time table that is downloadable here it almost looks as though it might be now, though. The timetable is for the airport to LDA- but if you speak nicely to the bus company, they might agree to drop you off. I see prices have rocketed. Shocked But still way cheaper than car hire. With a bit of luck Lizzard will be along to give you a local's advice.

Sharkymark, no. Can't see a driver agreeing to drop you either, as it would mess with his timetable (stop, fish gear out of storage, etc). You could always try it though.

When ever I've used Bens Bus they take both AdH and L2A visiters to Bourg D'Oisans (not via Grenoble) and then swap you on to buses to either resort (not as much faf as it may sound). So if it is Bourg D'Oisans you actually want to get to, then yes you can get off the bus there!

Sharkymark, I did Lyon airport to La Grave last year - including the bus stop at Grenoble. It's not too bad actually - plenty of bars to while away time in if you gave to wait.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll drop Ben's Bus a line and see if they'll drop me off. Otherwise I might end up in the bars in Grenoble... Twisted Evil

A few years ago I had a transfer from Grenoble Airport to AdH with Actibus (http://www.actibus.eu/) including a change in Bourg D'Oisans. Therefore, although Bourg D'Oisans is not on the list on their website they may be worth trying.
