Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Heading out next week and think I should get some 1 to 1. Found video feedback tremendously helpful in the past as I can see how amazing my collection of bad habits are! Can anyone recommend/ suggest instructors that use video regularly or is it a matter of asking around when I get there?

You could try Izzy Milne of http://www.piste2peak.co.uk/about.html. I have had several lessons from her all very good and often with video. if unavailable I am sure she could recommend one of her colleagues @ SKIVO2 that could offer you the tuition you are after.

where are you going exactly the 3V's is a big place... Izzy is based in Courchevel and her husband Neil works in Meribel for instance...

(another vote for Izzy, lots of energy and a very good instructor trainer (she passed me a few years back Toofy Grin )

Sorry to hijack this, but the OH and I are looking for private lessons in the 3V too... We'll be staying in Reberty so are there any recommendations more over that side?

Typical story I guess, we both learnt when we were kids and are one week a season skiers with very little in the way of recent tuition!
