I wasn't really sure where to post this, but I hope here is alright..
I am doing a research project on the use of helmets within snowsports as part of my college course. As a source of research I am asking participants of snowsports to complete a short survey. It'll only take a few minutes of your time.

Done. I'm not a helmet evangelist by any means but in Keystone a couple of years ago I got cut up by an Allan* while skiing quite quickly. I span round, landed on my back, my head slammed into the ice, and a pebble or rock right at the base of my skull left a 3x0.5cm dent in the helmet.
Could have been very serious indeed; as it was I was just a bit dozy and bit my tongue

Done. Though shame there was no free comment field at the bottom.
As another Allan there's plenty of head/face/snow interfaces occuring. As a motorcyclist as well I'm well aware that a helmet isn't going to save me in a really serious impact, but for those mid-speed incidents, they do make the difference between discomfort and concussion - or concussion and more serious injury. Other than fashion and style I really can't see an argument against them, while I've always felt that the best argument for them is having to explain to medical staff why you decided not to wear one...
