Hi there. I've just purchased my first helmet a Giro G10 MX from theskiandsurfshop off ebay. When the parcel arrived the box was damaged (it had collapsed in the "soft areas"). There is no visable signs of damage to the helmet (the helmet was shipped in its standard giro box with no extra padding / bubble wrap / box for protection). What are people thoughts on this - return or keep?? Any advice greatly appreciated.

If there is no visible damage to the helmet and it doesn't look like the helmet stopped the box being squashed even more I'd probably still wear it . Pics may help opinions.

i think it was abit more than squashed in the post, unfortunately i can't upload an image to here. The box has totally collapsed until the point it touchs the helmet. I think I'm going to send back.

it'll be fine,
box is thin cardboard and will collapse easily.
If the helmet was damaged that easily i wouldn't want to be smashing into a tree or hard ice with it

Rocket73, A one impact helmet says on it just that, if it has a significant impact it should be replaced. You will not know if yours did because they don't always show until the next one..
