Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Snowmass, the satellite ski village of Aspen in Colorado, is significantly upgrading its lift system for 2005-6. The new and original name for a new link lift between the residential and commercial areas of the resort is 'Sky Cab'. Anyone getting on board one of the new gondola cabins shouldn't have too much difficulty 'following that cab', then. Just make sure the meter isn't running.

Two other lifts in the ski area are being wisely re-named, if they had British visitors in mind. This is from the Aspen/Snowmass website:
Quote:
... The old Fanny Hill chairlift makes way for a speedy new Village Express - a six-passenger lift that soars from the bottom of Fanny Hill to Sam's Knob in just 9.5 minutes. The new Sky Cab, a six-passenger gondola, flies you from the new base to the Snowmass Village Mall in just two minutes. Future on-mountain improvements will include the new Elk Camp Gondola and Elk Camp Meadows activity center).

Well, 'Fanny Hill' - originally titled 'The Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure' - was written in 1749 by John Cleland. It's one of the most celebrated erotic novels in history.

Something to read on a chairlift commute.

Sam's Knob is not a book, but that's not to say that it couldn't be written.
