Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Pass Reimbursement

 Poster: A snowHead

Just be warned - you have precisely 5 days following an accident to get the money for your ski pass reimbursed with Carte Neige. Luckily OH spotted that, or it would have been a very expensive 1.5 days skiing on my season pass Shocked

genepi, good shout, I knew you only had a short time to claim, but not that it was as little as 5 days.

That might be the case with Carte Neige, but with columbus last season I got 3 days reimbursed about 4 months after the fact. Paperwork was with the insurers after 2 weeks, and I was still allowed another 3 or 4 weeks after that in which to submit the claim.

Different type of case but I note from my Christmas trip to Flaine that the electronic lift pass cards that cost you €3 or so "deposit" are no longer refundable. I know you can recharge them but I tend not to go to the same resort year after year.

Obviously it makes no difference on the actual cost of the pass €200 or so, but it still annoys me.

I have just got the carte neige insurance for the season and was wondering how this works if you're incapacitated/so high on drugs that you don't even know what's happening?

I've told the others going on the trip that they need to declare it but they'd probably forget. Having another bill sitting there for a helicopter off the mountain because you were actually incapable of declaring it seems a bit unfair to me.
