Well Dwarf Vader is there so I am sure we will get some reporting.

Today is light snow flurries, low cloud but with occasional sun.
Sectur La Rosiere and Sectur Eucherts are open
Sectur Traversette is still closed and of course the Link & the Col.
fontaine froid & full length of Marrottes are well worth a ride, you can still find snow knee deep on piste, never mind to the Edge.
Avi risk is still Danger high.

My best days skiing EVER was in a blizzard when almost everything was shut at La Rosiere but we managed to get to the Ecudets lift and spent all morning lapping it in deep powder, no wind and just below the cloudline.
Jeez that triangle sticking up is the pisteurs hut roof at the start of the Bellcombe 1 grag lift in the col.

That picture on the La Thuile link is incredible. somebody said recently that the driver of a piste basher had had to get out of his cab and sank up to his neck in snow - must have been something like that picture. Can't remember where that was. Les Arcs, maybe?

Been over to La Thuile today, they not got it was good as La Rosiere no real depth and wind blown but still a good ski.
We have had good sun for the last few days which has hardened the pistes up but as has been said we are due more snow this weekend.
Really great skiing still to be had.

Cooling down today, Had a few cm last night which helped in the Col.
However the La Rosiere wind is picking up so prep to wrap up well.
Mind you the kite skiers/boards were enjoying it.

Indeed. today was one of those days when the photographers must all have been out doing their "brochure" pictures. Huge fresh snow, wall to wall sun!  Just a wee breathing space before the snow sweeps in again....

To be more expansive, temp is not that low however wind chill is cutting make sure you have buffs/neck things/balaclavas/face masks.

IF you can get past BSM(police are not recommending it) it's all ferme ferme ferme. Ok not all Petit Bios is open but not even the Fontaine Friod

went to La Thuile over xmas, and skied over to La Rossiere, nice and quiet and loads of snow, had a brilliant time, the drags back are quite long but nice and flat, kids found it a bit of a pain, but must say would definately go back again, best xmas day weve ever had , blue skys and sunshine, and almost empty slopes!!
