Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We'll be in Kaltenbach from the 24th. I'm looking for group lessons for my wife (second week) and my 7 year old son. has anybody had any experience with either one of the two ski schools there?

sugardaddy, I can't really help you, but the question is so close to home I thought I ought to reply!
I teach skiing in Hochfuegen (just over the ridge) for SkiCheck, but that doesn't help you with lessons in Kaltenbach.
Any other questions, give me a shout... Smile

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

sugardaddy, I would recommend the Skischule Hochzillertal run by Gerhard Wildauer, who is a friend of mine. Unfortunately their website is in German only, but of course Gerhard and virtually all of his instructors speak English. Their office is on the ground floor of the chalet style building you can see on the website photo just to the left of the gondola building. (They also have a very nice "Cafe Wedelstube" on the first floor of the chalet building for an apres ski coffee or stronger drink).

Once you get out at the top of the gondola on the mountain, the Hochzillertal ski school has a children's ski school area immediately to the right.

sugardaddy, I forgot to mention, I'm travelling out on Xmas Eve to Kaltenbach (well actually I'm staying in the adjacent village of Uderns) for 4 nights, but aiming to ski mainly at Kaltenbach, so if you want to meet up for a ski on Christmas Day just let me know. I'll pm you my mobile no. Madeye-Smiley

Edit: It seems I can't send you a pm as you are "down a crevasse" - ie admin's way of saying he hasn't got your e-mail details Laughing If you want to you can send me a pm instead. Madeye-Smiley

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Alastair Pink, sorry for not replying sooner. It appears I can't send PMs either. I'll sort out my "crevasse" status and pm you. I'll probably purchase a local SIM. I'll be glad to meet up.
SaraJ, thanks. It looks like there will be enough snow. Can you recommendatory any easy accessible off piste routes?
