Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

HELP - with Liber-T peage tag!

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi - I ordered my peage tag from Sanef but really annoyingly the tag has arrived but no clips to attach it to the windscreen - I leave for France tomorrow so no time for them to send some clips out to me. Can I just hold it up to the windscreen as I drive through - or where can I get hold of clips?!

Thanks

catanddog, welcome to snowHead s

yes you can just hold it up, or preferably have someone else do it whilst you keep your hands on the driving bits Toofy Grin

Do you have one of those "non-slip" dashboard mats?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I no longer have the car that I originally used my Liber T in. I just wind down the window and hang it out the side of the car. I'm not sure that this is necessary however, and it might work sat on the dashboard.

You can just hold it up, but remember if you have a heated front screen there will be a black portion around the rear view miror, this is where you should hold it.
Otherwise the signal does not get through! (Yes I put mine on the wrong bit!)

Freddie Paellahead, the holder that they supplied peeled off my last windscreen with no trouble and is happily stuck to the new one now wink

Thanks for the advice - I'm driving out solo tomorrow and am having visions of me waving the tag frantically with no success and then having to the "reverse of shame!!"

I took my doofer with me on a motorcycle trip last year and was advised to go through the HGV lane as the sensors there were supposed to recognise different vehicles (I didn't want to pay the car rate on a bike). After much frantic and useless waving I eventually had to reverse out (foot power!). Fortunately it was quiet. Rode over to a manned booth and payed cash - the princely sum of 1 euro Embarassed
