Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

First time skis

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all

I'm in the process of reading everything on this site so that I can choose some decent first time skis.

I live in Antibes which is a 2hr drive to the nearest resorts (Isola 2000, Auron, Valberg) and got into skiing last year. I did about 7-8 days and I'm quite fit so I picked it up quickly and felt comfortable on the reds (even though there was a bit of ice about) and blasting down the blues. I intend to go up about once a week from after Christmas until the end of the season (end of Feb). I'm 6ft and about 78kg.

I've decided to get some second hand skis and have been recommended the K2 chargers from here: http://edge2edge.co.uk/skis-mens.html and some off ebay here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250888214358?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_2512wt_1270

I was thinking about a length of 175cm.

Do the above seem like a good choice?

Thanks in advance

bitasuite, you'd be better to try some in resort rather than buy blind from eBay.
