Most of the pictures were taken with a Panasonic DMC TZ20 and some with a DSLR Canon 40D.

Long lasting bright intervals during the morning. Cloudy in the afternoon with some snowfall and low visibility. Most of the pistes have hard packed snow, but skiing on this pistes is a pleasure.

Yup! It also seems to feel very exposed. Hate to think what the higher chairlift was like when it was there.

Skiing in the perfect snow at temperatures between -10 and -15 degrees with no wind and the sunshine is not too bad. Good clothing, making a lot of turns and skiing not too fast helps you to survive this quasi-siberian conditions. At the end of morning the clouds from the valley started to rise and at the end of the day they reach the 2500 meter level. This resulted in very nice views at tops over the sea of clouds. Small ice crystals in the atmosphere were blinking and produced several rainbow type vertical colorbands.

Looking at Hameau des Airelles apts for 10th March. Trying to get the old man to book so I can then look forward to it! Came to Les Men last year and had a great time, though at the beginning of April the slush was bad.... So would look forward to skiing on some nice snow there and do more exploration.

Have now booked for the 10th March, can't wait! Do you think it's sad that 2 40-year-olds want to experience the Folie Douce??  Our 13-year-old daughter wants to come, should we let her???? Ha ha.

Enjoy Folie Douce every day, but for your 13-year-old-daughter the champagne will be too expensive. So she has to take her own tin with .... with her.
