Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm going in the new year with friends. But the wife did her knee in last year so she won't be skiing. What is there to do for none skiers with a bad knee?

Roughneck, Sadly not a lot at all. Bars and cafes. She could go up the mountain as a pedestrian to meet you. There are about six shops, maybe eight. There might be a cinema can't remember. There is no public pool, some of the residences have a pool though so she might be able to swim. Skating rink if it's open, if the knee is up to that. Hope for sunny weather, she can read a book on the terrace of a bar on the snow front, very pleasant.

Unfortunately Puy St Vincent is not the best resort for non skiing activities unless you are in accommodation with a pool. You can definitely go up the main lift as a pedestrian and sit in the cafe at the top. Will you be driving there? If so it is not very far from Briancon and I think I've read somewhere there is a spa (thermal baths) there.

snowymum, the spa and thermal baths are in Monetier-les-Bains not Briancon. It's a further 12km from there.
