Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Chamonix Avalanche Forecast available on Twitter

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi folks

Due to the fact that the Chamonix Avalanche Forecast is only produced in French, and can be hard to find (even in resort) I will be translating and tweeting a summary of the report every day throughout the season.

Anyone wanting to receive the bulletin just has to follow @AvalancheAcad on Twitter

Have a safe season

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Nice idea, but can you fit a report in to 140 chars? Or will you link to a full report?

Hi folks

I've had a few messages on this so just thought I would post a public reply:

1. Many have requested that the service is also provided on Facebook as they don't use Twitter. That's now sorted, so look for Avalanche Academy on Facebook.

2. The Tweet is a SUMMARY, as I initially stated. It is not intended to be a replacement for a detailed report. The full report will be linked to the homepage of my website shortly. NB - This will be in French. To link directly from the Tweet would use more characters, and therefore make the summary even shorter.

3. For those of you who don't use Twitter or Facebook, or speak French, the English tweets will appear shortly on the homepage of my website. I hope to have this up and running by tomorrow.

4. For anyone else, very sorry, but I really think that's about as much as I can do.

Stay safe.......
