Do any of you know how I can get from Innsbruck to St Anton?
Which sites do I look at for trains and buses?
Any hotel b&B recommendations?

There's a direct train - Austrian Railways site is: http://www.oebb.at/en/index.jsp
There's tons of accommodation, a search of the forums will show discussions on everything from self catering to 5* places. For B&Bs Angelika and Gamberg seem to get recommended (the later by only me I think  )

If there are a few of you it works out decent value getting taxi. www.innsbruck-taxi.com for prices. There are cheaper taxis but can't remember name for now. Don't use the st Anton based taxi companies as theyre more expensive.

Pixiebri, the bus from INN airport to the station is a PITA. a cab is strongly advised and then it's just an hour west with www.oebb.at - that site will also advise re buses if you are a maschochist (sp)

Bus can be fine it depends on the timings. If you put in Innsbruck Flughafen then check the fahrplan you can see how long the wait is. Same goes a bit for the taxi. If you get to the station just to miss the train you have to go to the pub and have a hefweizen.

Great news about the late and unlamented FC.
Re the bus perhaps I should start by saying I'm not really a bus person but whenever I've been on it it gets crammed to the gunnalls with school kids, octagenerian Austrian grand-fraus and rowdy South African stag parties. It also seems to take ages.
Perhaps there is an express bus that I've not seen but the one I've taken stops about 50 times and is the equivalent of getting a number 247 from heathrow to Paddington.

Pixiebri, if you are arriving at Innsbruck airport on a Saturday, in particular, or Sunday the tour ops buses run directly to St. Anton, Inghams, Crystal and Thomsons will sell tickets for theirs, I think 40euros return. Couple of issues, firstly, you might have to wait till all the flights are in, maybe 5mins, maybe an hour. Secondly, the return buses to the airport leave St. Anton at something like 5am, because the return flight is in the morning, the journey itself only takes about an 1.5 hrs. Thomsons have an afternoon flight from Manchester, so transfer timings are mid/late afternoon. Seats are obviously only available if there is capacity, but I've not failed yet. The train is a good alternative, the airport is a short bus ride away from Innsbruck station, however, the train frequency is variable, check this with Austrian rail website.
As for accommodation, I can recommend Haus Kleinhans up Altestrasse. It is close (15 min walk) to the centre and the bus drop/pickup. It is also close to the Galzigbahn and the ski out by the Museum, handy for a short return from the Mooserwirt and Krazy Kangaroo!
For a basic but en-suite no TV single room b & B about 50 euros pp, same rate for a double (with TV). Closeby is a pizzeria/restuarant called Floranis which is good value and has a busy atmosphere, you can't book ahead so sometimes you have to wait for a table. I have also stayed at Angelika, virtually alongside the Galzigbahn and the main ski out area, two minutes from the high street action and thus noisy! Haus Angelika is better furnished but more expensive though.
There are plenty of good quality b & b's in St. Anton. Careful on location, location, if you like convenience.

Bus from airport to the train station is 10/15 mins, then you have a direct train to St Anton, 7/8 euros I think (might have been with the vorteilskarte though), and being Austrian it's nice, clean, comfortable and on time. Station in St Anton is right in the middle of the village (albeit over the road, so a 2 min walk from the main street), which is pretty convenient. Check oebb.at for bus/train times.
Alternatively, if it's the weekend, go and speak to one of the TO reps and you may well be able to blag your way onto one of their coaches.

If the timing is right this is pretty handy. I seem to recall it's not that cheap, but for convenience it's worth it I think.

All thing being equal the train is a fair bit more comfortable than the TO bus would be. Easier to stretch your legs, get a coffee and bite to eat in the restaurant etc. Coach or taxi would be more direct.
In short though, it's pretty easy and straightforward to get to St Anton from Innsbruck whether you get a coach, taxi or train. Great views either way as you slowly climb and it gets snowier (hopefully) as you get closer.

Hi - there's a specific map of the Alps that shows you how to get to ski resorts by train, either all the way from the UK, or from an Alpine airport. It's the SkiRail Map of the Alps - more info here http://rogerlascellesmaps.co.uk/SkiRail_Map_Main.aspx
Taking the train from Innsbruck is indeed easy - easier, I'd say, than falling off a (snow-covered) log.
