All this talk of no snow is driving me round the bend. Look, it'll snow when it snows, OK. Unless it doesn't.....
Meanwhile, may I ask some daft questions to take your mind off snow (well maybe it won't):
1. Will it be cold in the mountains?

3. Are ski slopes very steep?
4. Will I be scared?
5. Can I wear my Berghaus even though I don't have a beard?
6. Can you ski in Scotland?
7. Can I overtake people on skis?
8. How do skis go round corners?
9. Why do some people stand sideways on one very wide ski?

when 2 skis love each other very much, they lock together base to base in a 'special cuddle' - you may have seen this around mountain restaurants which is the skis natural breeding ground. Over the following season one of those skis get wider and wider and eventually splits into 2 skis. The original ski goes back to its partner and the new ski goes off to find another to make a pair of its own. You have observed a fat ski close to the moment of splitting, and it is a natural and beautiful thing. Occasionally rather than getting wider, a ski will get longer and longer until it splits across the centre, creating snow blades. These are an abomination and should be drowned on sight.
