Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val Thorens on 17th December

Hi All,

Is there a chance that any of you guys is going to Val Thorens on 17th December with the Eurostar ski train from London to Moutiers?
I'm looking for people to share a taxi.

I would have assumed that Eurostar and Altibus spoken with each other when they plan their schedule for the winter, but apparently not!
The ski train arrives to Moutiers at 18:13 and the last bus from Moutiers to Val Thorens departs at 18:00.
It's funny that Eurostar advise their customers to book transfers to the ski resorts with Altibus.

Maxim.

This doesn't suprise me.

Never dealt with them myself, but given the poor standard of English translation on their website, lack of advance booking (to coincide with the release of eurostar trains -months before) and general lack of upto date information it seems reasonable to assume they would be lousy with timetables too Smile

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

_MaxiM_, Welcome to Snowheads

Are you on your own? You might find it easier to hitch a lift - there will be a lot of traffic heading up to ValTho that evening

Sleep in the coach or train station for a few hours.

When our train was slightly late into Aime one year, the bus waited for the train - might be worth contacting Transdev Savoie direct to see if they intend for their 18.00 bus to meet the Eurostar service - anything is possible

Thanks for the replies everybody!

I sent an email directly to Transdev Savoie, but still haven't received anything back.
But anyway, I found a company that can do one way transfers from Moutiers to Val Thorens for £35, which is not too bad so booking with them now.
Instead of trying to hitch a lift, I'll see if there is anyone looking for one.

Now let's just hope that there will be enough snow there by that time....
