Poster: A snowHead
|
flying out with Swiss air tomorrow and was wondering as they do free ski carriage what the likelihood is of being able to blag one ski bag with 2 pairs of skis(well under the normal 23kg limit), 1pair poles and 1 pair of boots? I've managed to do it with other airlines before when I have paid to take set of winter sports baggage...
if anyone has managed it specifically with swiss air please let me know. I know someone will probably copy the baggage rules from their website but I have read these and know it says 1 pair but if you dont ask you dont know....
Cheers!

mark_20vt, I've never done it but I woudl be most surprised if they even notice. The boot bag is included as part of your sports equipment baggage, so all you have to do is put the 2 pairs of skis in one bag

Morrissey, Luggage allowance doesn't include boots - you can carry your boots in a separate bag as part of your sports equipment.

mark_20vt, just put some heavy stuff in your boot bag or ski bag - your 20Kg allowance is in addition to the sports bags.
