Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hotels and ski schools in Wengen worried about this winter

I wonder where Brian Bollen, globally renowned award-winning writer, on international institutional finance, and other important matters has gone?

Perhaps we should go to his Blog and see if we can continue the conversation in the comments section there...

Blimey. I never thought a thread about Wengen could create such debate! Anyhow, for anyone who clicked this thread in the hope of getting news on the likely state of play in the Jungfrau Region, here goes:

Got back from Wengen yesterday. They now have an even bigger problem, in that the weather is stuck in a summery warm dry spell that's been going on for weeks. There's not a trace of snow below about 2500 metres. I spent the weekend walking in glorious sunshine, with temps well into the teens.

As for bookings, apartment lets are holding up well. Unfortunately the hoteliers are having a hard time of it. The Palace (Club Med) are offering deals for Christmas and New Year, which is completely unheard of.

Mrs telford_mike bought her ski-pass yesterday, the chap at the station who sold it to her almost keeled-over in amazement.
