Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Olympia Snow Card Tirol: 3 week pass for €300

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
In connection with the Youth Winter Olympic Games (running in and around Innsbruck and Seefeld from 13th-22nd January 2012) a special Olympia Snow Card Tirol is being offered for €300 (€200 for accredited guests at the Games; the standard Snow Card Tirol season ticket for October - May costs €626). The special card allows access to the same 82 ski areas as the standard Snow Card Tirol (see here for details - in German). Some of the major ski areas in Tirol are not included on the card, e.g. St. Anton, Ischgl, Sölden, but other large areas like Kitzbühel and the SkiWelt are available (and many lesser known areas). There are also a few bonuses like entry to the Tirol Panorama on Bergisel, 10% rebate in the YOG shop or reduced tickets for YOG events (many are free anyhow Laughing). The ticket can be bought only (I believe) at the Accreditation Office for the YOG in the Innsbruck Exhibition Centre (Messe Innsbruck). The special tickets can be bought there from 9th December until 22nd January and are then valid for 3 weeks from the date of purchase.

Full details (in German) can be read here.

espri, Thanks, looks like a real bargain, wish I could have three weeks skiing to justify it!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Wow they've put the price up of the full Snow Card - I only paid €517 last season! Just got the Innsbruck Freizeit Ticket today though instead - €350 for the whole YEAR!! Doesn't include the Stubai or SkiWelt sadly, but does include 3 days at Ischgl and St Anton (will be saving those for powder days Twisted Evil ), and of course Axamer Lizum and Nordkette (which is looking pretty damn snowy from here!).

clarky999, I thought there was a cheaper version of the Snow Card for genuine Tirolers (or those like us trying to be so Laughing) but maybe the reduction is only for students at Tyrolean uninversities (you?). It only costs them €466 - see here.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

There is a student discount, but only for students at Tirolean Unis (not me yet, sadly - last year at Aberdeen!). Money's pretty tight this year though, so had to go with the Freizeit Ticket (which is only for residents, but would have been even cheaper if I were at Innsbruck uni). As I seem to spend 99% of my time skiing Nordkette it's not too much of an issue though Laughing
