Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mountainsun - Les Melezes

I know that Les Melezes got some bad press last season. So, having just spent the weekend there with rob@rar and skimotterat with the InsideOut Ski Club.

I thought it would be useful to say that they appear to be back on form.

To be fair to them I think they sorted the problems out fairly quickly last winter. Losing the 2 main men there in quick succession left a big gap for a while. I went last October and it was great, by the time I went back in December it was a shambles.

On the downside they do so well now on their early season deals I couldn't get anything that worked for me after 4 visits in 3 years. Thankfully the PSB has filled the gap.

crazy_skier_jules, it'll be great for you.

The only downside is that it's waaaaaaaaaaay out of the main village. They will run you up in the evening, but you'll have to make your own way back and it's an expensive taxi (you really couldn't walk it, but you could try hitching).

crazy_skier_jules, Yes as FS says apres here is the hotel bar. Splash out on a room with a bathroom would also be my advice if budget permits.

Although I think the buses run a bit later during the full winter season. May be able to fit some apres in. Worth checking though as I'm not certain.

although I guess if CSJ is on a budget then full-on Tignes apres is prolly not on the agenda - 2 nights out and that's another £199 unloaded Shocked

Colin B, True. I guess I meant that if staying in Les Boises then budget Tignes apres is best taken - briefly - on the way down. A full night up there followed by a cab can be a bit :shock:ing
