Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi Guys,

Im back! Now a proud father of a beautiful baby girl Toofy Grin

Looking to get a week away in March with a few pals in the past it's mostly been France we have went with Tignes and Val Thorens the likely destinations.

Now fancy a change.

Anyone recommend a ski in ski out resort suitable for 4-6 Snowboarders? Had a google maybe fancy Zermatt, but not sure how ski in ski out it is?

Any help would be appreciated.

dave_wick, very little accommodation in Zermatt is ski in/out. Might help people narrow down your choices if you give a bit more detail about what type of accommodation you are looking to stay in (hotel, self-catering, chalet, etc), what kind of boardng you like, need for big apres scene, etc.

To throw one suggestion in, for pure ski in/out accommodation this worked well for me last season and I'm going back again this season.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Sorry if my post was a bit Vague!

Mainly on piste Boarding with some light off-piste. Apres is not such a big deal so long as there is a few pubs for a pint or 6 at night.

Looking for a similar thing to Tinges or Val Thorens preferably not in France! Fancy a change.

Accommodation preferably a Hotel doesn't have to be the Ritz but needs to be clean and a pool wouldn't hurt!

Budget for a package deal around £700(ish)

I think you would find Stuben or Zurs in Arlberg within budget and fits most of your needs. At that time of year the prices could well come in under that figure. Also look at Zauchensee and Obertauern in Salzburgerland as they may well come in a lot cheaper, possibly with ski passes included.

I'm not a boarder so I do not know just how well they are suited for boarders but I have seen plenty in all those resorts so I'm assuming they were not suffering too much! A lot of ski in/ski out potential as well.

With the current overipriced state of the Swiss currency I'm personally staying clear of Switzerland next season.
How about Arabba in the spectacular Italian Dolomites? (that part of the generally easygoing Sella Ronda includes more difficult skiing in the Marmolada area). The more challenging off piste of the region might require a guide. Although Arabba is small, only a few of the Hotels could be described as Ski-in-ski out
