Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Folks - go along to these - should be really interesting (and some very good photos...) !
H - don't suppose you will be doing a talk at KMF in November? - Probably won't be in the UK before then...

Sadly i'm at the other end of the country. Don't suppose you'll be recording the lecture (video or audio, transcript with photos would be good too) for posting - sure it would be of interest to many here who can't attend in person.
Good luck with the talk weeSKI.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Quite fancy the Edinburgh one.
Since I believe this venue is in the student union I assume that if I buy a ticket I will be able to get in even though I'm not a member of the Edinburgh Student Union.

weeSKI, great pictures - looks a fascinating place. Did you travel independently - and was it easy to get around ? or with an organised group/tour and if so who please ?
Thanks

The event is open to the public but being put on by the Student Union
We travelled independently to some extent - we had a contact at the Iranian Mountaineering Federation so they sponsored our visa application etc. One of their guys joined us for the trip as well - without him it would have been really difficult especially with language issues. We ended up visiting his house and meeting his family, same with the taxi driver we had all the time we were there.
