snowcrazy, Here is the link to the Tignes album - photos all taken on Friday August 5th. Looks like we're going to miss meeting up again!
To be honest conditions Friday on the glacier were b..... awful. Some snow expected tonight and tomorrow, then I'm going up to the glacier first thing Monday morning (but not to ski), so I'll do a quick report and update Monday night.

snowcrazy, I should think almost anywhere around you will be fun. I'm not sure what lifts run in Les Arcs, but I should think the big gondola does (link to 2000) - must be some good tracks up there - ditto Tignes I should think. Otherwise Portes du Soleil, very big on Mountain biking. enjoy!  ps: coming back from the bash I made LDA in 1hr 50 mins from BSM - not sooooo far!

snowbunny, that's the one, westbound, just as you're 90% through the tunnel and starting to relax there's a sudden downhill section and if you're not careful your speed creeps up. Guess where they placed the camera  .
Cruise control is very useful!

FAQ
Hi is anyone still skiing this summer or doing anything else fun in the mountains. I will be having some time off later this week and wondered if anyone knows whats happening in Tignes or around that area.

Hi Paul, yes this is me. I am back from my travels for a short break. Thanks for the pics PG it looks bad up there think I will give it a miss. Anyone know any good places for mountain biking (downhill), I hate going up hill.
