Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Any recommendations for a vet somewhere near the route from Modane - Lyon - Paris?

Many thanks

TwistBarbie, good one in Moutiers, and also in Briancon, but noen are on your route. There are a few in Modane too, but we haven't used any of them. http://maison-jardin.118000.fr/v_modane_73/c_veterinaire

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

TwistBarbie, if you are planning on coming back into the UK after the 1st January 2012, you might not need a vet visit, or have more time to sort it. Changes are being made to the pet passport scheme and the vet checks are still under consideration, but the DEFRA website says that the tapeworm treatment might change to between 5-1 day which will make it easier, and tick treatment not required (though it is still a good idea to do it yourself, especially when travelling in summer) http://www.defra.gov.uk/news/2011/06/30/new-rules-pet-passports/

Thanks for that. I've seen the details on the DEFRA website, but it looks like they are seeking permission from the EU to keep the current restrictions in full so there is no certainty of a relaxation yet.
