Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Selva in Feb half-term

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi there - looking around for half-term ski week with the family ..... can anyone recommend any hotels/chalets or package deals for Selva?

Nothing too posh (ie. expensive!)

Thanks,

Simon.

We are going for our second half term trip to Selva next year, and have used Crystalski, and found them to be very good. Just done a quick check and half term in the Yorkshire area is the 11th of February, and prices for 2 adults and 2 children are around £3500 in a catered chalet with flights from Manchester. The week before, or the week after are around £1000 cheaper, that's not including lift passes.
We have no choice, but if you can avoid half term .....

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

thanks snowHead ...... without lift passes that is out of our budget unfortunately, plus I don't like the look of their cheapest chalet (Vanedis2).
We normally book independently, will probably have to do same again, arranging your own transfer (well paying for it) always eats into the savings made though, especially with the cost of eating out now, so a catered chalet would be a good option but I guess we've missed all the good deals.

Independent in Selva may not work out much cheaper, I've tried this on a number of occasions and struggled. Best bet is a last minute with a TO. Check Ski Total and Esprit as well as bigger firms.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
