What an absolutely stunning place this is, even without snow. How I wish I was going there next week instead of being dragged off to Spain for a week in the sun, I think I am going to have to put my foot down next year  .

Yes it does look nice. I see that the Summer rates are more than the winter ones. Quite a rare occurence for the Dolomites

jimmybog, it's a bit of a drive to ski lifts, I guess that's why. (I've only been in the summer, several times - it is a truly lovely centre from which to walk, so peaceful.)

I have took your word for it and just booked 10 days for summer (followed by 3 in Venice) It does look very nice, if not a little off the main touristy areas, but compared to hotels that appear to be of equal quality in the more well known areas it is also fairly reasonable.
So that's my third trip confirmed and booked to the Dolomites next year whilst most are still awaiting buttons. I do like to plan

Pedantica, Beach is for the body, skiing is for the mind. My old 1990s company strap line. Beat up execs on beach sweating over what might be, twinned with the BBM calling the office just in case they missed something or the office doesn't exist anymore. Half a day’s skiing, then something slightly beyond their comfort zone, look at those faces your new friends for life.
