Just had a look at the upgrades being made to the Shymbulak resort.
New Doppelmayr gondola for resort access from Medeu, and at least 5 new Leitner quad chairs/bubble lifts, All the old infrastructure is being removed and replaced by new gear, Large areas of the mountain have been resculpted particularly the approach areas to the base station. Several new resturants and alpine style lodging have also been built around new lifts.
The dismantling of the old lifts is well underway and the rumour is that they will be re-sited to extend the resort once the Asian winter games is completed.
