Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The pic may or may not be photoshopped and the distance may or may not be misreported, but Tomas Bergemalm, of Sweden, allegedly successfully completed a 600ft cliff jump in Chamonix, France, recently.

He seems to have some inner ski tip lead there.

If he's say 6', that isn't 100x his height.

He may well have landed below the bottom of the picture. Is there a video? Could be a still from the video.

I'm not sure about this, I can't work out his line and its pretty poor coverage given he was setting out to smash the cliff jump world record. No other pics available on the web, no video and oddly not mentioned on Tomas's blog, although there could be two freeskiers from Sweden with the same name.

Previous record Fred Syversen 107 meters

It looks like a press release that some sites and worryingly the Telegraph and Daily Mail picked up and did a cut and paste job. The British press cover themselves in glory once again.

Nope. They'd be listening in to the mobile phone conversations of the Mountain rescue team.....
