Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi,
I've just joined this forum so bear with me if I get things wrong.

I am a single person (male 52) who will be in Switzerland for a week from the 10th to 17th December, and want to spend the time snowboarding at a high-altitude resort. I am on a fairly tight budget so was wondering if I could possibly join up with a group that has booked accomodation covering that period and possibly has a room spare.

I am not fussy about the type of accomodation as long as I have access to good snow (or as good as there is at that time of year).

Would love to hear from anyone who might be able to help.

Thanks
Peter Little Angel

You might have a bit of difficulty getting these two things to work together with the chf as strong as it is but good luck with your mission anyway Wink

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yes, perhaps I will do better hopping over to France. I'm considering Chamonix. Any suggestions as to whether the snow (and value for money) would be reasonable there at that time of year. Blush

plv01, as far as France goes I'd look at Tignes, Val Thorens and 2Alpes at that time of year. Of those three, 2Alpes is by far the cheapest.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I really appreciate your advice Lizzard. Any suggestions for accomodation at 2Alpes? Also I it reasonably easy to get to from Geneva?
