Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

As an former moderator, here's a word of understanding: it's dead easy to commit an error when hitting keys - especially in the evening! - sometimes resulting in stuff literally vanishing. It's an oddity in the phpBB software that this is possible (or maybe it's unavoidable? What do I know about computer software?)

Maybe some god is able to retrieve Hannah's thread - I'm sure Alan would buy that spirit a beer

Well in that spirit I would be happy to give Hannah some blading tips - just give me my customary 3 blue runs to eliminate the "wobbles" I usually get when switching over from skis and then it's CARVETASTIC all the way baby.... Very Happy Very Happy

Elizabeth B, it's too late by then - and my sound was off anyway.

Im intrigued as to the topic (im a skiboard, or blade if you must use that term, nut!).

Hannah, have you checked out the various dedicated skiboard forums? I actually have wondered about lessons myself, and everyone of the super duper boarders has told me that you are better to teach yourself within reason since most who might try and teach you wont actually know the differences between it and skiing, hence will teach you ski technique....

Have a look at www.skiboards.com or www.skiboardsonline.com. They are both retailers but have attached forums (which are admittedly a tad on the quiet side this time of year).

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

buns, yes, there are "bladers" - who seem to indulge in a snow version of a once? popular form of street activity, and pretty amazing they are too, although it's not skiing as we know it Jim. And then there are skiers who blade. Just like being on short twin tips. Depends what Hannah aspires to I guess. Oh, and bye the way thanks for the understanding Hannah Little Angel Elizabeth, I'm not sure now you mention it, but I'll leave that button alone for a while... wink
