Poster: A snowHead

BBC reports all EUjet flights from Manston (aka Kent International Airport) suspended. Sounds like the company's folding - their shares were suspended yesterday.

The name always seemed a bit weird.
Has any snowHead flown EUjet (does this stand for 'European Union Jet'?)
I'm still awaiting an airline called Jet Wickes.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

David Goldsmith, Jet Wickes would probably be preferable to Jet Masque.

EUjet? Never heard of them. Maybe there lies the problem?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

EUjet ran to Zurich sat to sat, amongst others, and I will miss that next season. They never really got a foothold and the future for them always appeared fraught.
Oh well, looks like Stanstead or Luton next year..... Or back to the car...!!

BBC have reported that EUJet's parent company has gone into administration.

Some of our guests used them to visit us last year and were very impressed.
Cheap parking, 10 second walk to the gate and only a handful of flights from Manston a day so no chance of massive delays if you missed your take-off slot.
The problem was Manston's not easily accessible by train, was no use for anyone living north of London and no-one had heard of EUJet.
Just looked at their website - they bill themselves as "the hassle free alternative". Which is true, they've taken all the hassle out of flying by not doing it!

... whereas everyone's heard of Jet Wickes.
The problem is it's not an airline.

If anyone's booked with them, you might be interested to know that flybe will give you a flight on the same dates for an extra £25 charge.
