Poster: A snowHead

Ok so we have ruled out Zermatt for a stag do next year due to noise police etc
We have done Ischgl,Verbier and St Anton in the past couple of seasons so they are out
Mayerhofen is now the resort we are looking at for first weekend in March
Any thoughts or Suggestions for other resorts ?
Bascially we want a weeks ski hol with a pretty snowsure resort and one day reserved for a messy stag day

Mayrhofen will do fine, but it's in a different (lower) league then Zermatt, Ischgl,Verbier and St Anton for skiing.

"Solden is 85km from Innsbruck, which means the place can get crowded when lower resorts have run out of snow."
"This is not the place for zither music and dewy eyed couples"
"Book in: advanced skiers, high mileage merchants, late-night revellers"
There was a lap dancing bar there on the main road in 2005, but it is quite isolated and away from the rest of the bars. It is quite near the main ticket office in Solden (or tourist information).
Nightlife was fairly quiet when I visited in early December (4th/5th), and most people drove there at that time of year and left in the evening. The skiing was busy though.

shenryo, Don't get too hung up on snow sure, I can understand how you might be concerned after this season - but that was exceptionally crap, usually the vast majority of places in Austria are more than fine.

clarky999, yeah, i am confident it will be fine, just got to keep smiles on the faces of all others - I skiied Austria this year, Ischgl, and we had knee deep fresh tracks the first few days... was amazing... in a bad year
