Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

solden accommdation

can anyone help. we are going to solden on dec 28th till jan 1st. amazingly there is nothing available and what little is , is only sat to sat. can anyone help with guest house and b and b in solden itself?
im half thinking of just turning up and going to tourist info to find a room on the day!

You will really struggle. We wanted to go to Austria for a week commencing 26/12/11 but anticipated difficulties in finding a hotel that would take us on these dates. My recommendation would be to try the local tourist board who might be willing to contact suitable places for you.

And loads of places may be taking their annual holiday just now so may not even reply.
Short breaks over New Year are pretty impossible to find, it's the peak week of the season.

Try Hotel Sunny. They have a website. stayed there last year for 4 nights. nice hotel 5-7 min walk to lifts and main town which means you are away from bars!

SORTED! after contacting 50 or so hotels!! problem is they book from sat to sat . were going on a wednesday. anyway got a place in lagenfeld and as back up zweilstein ( 3km from solden ). thanks for replies guys
